About our award-winning business
Discover Wines Ltd. opened July 22, 2003 in Kelowna, BC and is the number one VQA Store for sales in the Province of British Columbia, and has been since opening. Our second location opened April 25, 2013 in Kamloops, BC. There is a designated Wine Tasting Counter open for sampling all day every day, bringing the “winery experience” to our store, and we also act as a wine information centre for locals and visitors. Discover Wines offers a great opportunity to one-stop-shop the best of British Columbia, while right in the heart of the Okanagan Valley. Shipping also allows access to consumers not living in the Okanagan Valley. Convenience and selection are “seriously fabulous” with upwards of 600 BC wines featured at any one time.
Discover Wines has become a very popular gift store carrying many wine accessories, gift boxes and bags, local artisan cheeses and food products and home entertaining items. You will often see us gift wrapping or preparing customized gift baskets. Our team encourages hands on experiences such as trying wine gadgets and tasting with wine specific glassware. Exceptional service and highly qualified staff is the core of our business belief.
Going out of our way .......is just our way. Discover the wines of British Columbia!

Industry Came Together To Support Well-Known Colleague:
Paul Clark has been working in the BC Wine Industry as an educator and salesperson for 20 years. His 13 year old daughter was diagnosed with bone cancer and was being treated at Children's Hospital in Vancouver. Paul was staying at Ronald McDonald House for almost a year to look after their daughter while his wife Kelly Ann became the sole bread winner and remained in Kelowna caring for their younger child. Two amazing Discover Wines team members at the time, Katie Fletcher and Bonnie-Lee Hansen spearheaded a fundraiser for their family on May 1, 2007 raising over $33,000 for the Clark family. Major sponsors were Discover Wines, Blue Line Sports and Comedy, the Coast Capri Hotel, Beyond Audio and the Okanagan Wine Festival Society. There was overwhelming support from wineries, restaurants and other local businesses to make this a success. Kelly Ann commented "Our daughter still has a long journey ahead of her, but we know that with all of your kindness and positive energy, she will come out of this a strong young lady!". Not only was it a fun night, it showed how strong and supportive our community is.
